We're coming out!

Ad Esse Consulting travelling in London to see clients

Post-its, sharpie pens and brown paper all ready.
The UK is gaining momentum and rolling out of lockdown. We’re returning to pubs, cinemas, and of course, many are making their way back to some sort of office environment.

Like many of you, we continued to make improvements despite adapting to the challenges created by the pandemic. A lot has changed since pre-Covid, so we wanted to re-introduce ourselves – here’s what we look like now!

“If you can’t fly, then run.
If you can’t run, then walk.
If you can’t walk, then crawl.
But whatever you do,
you have to keep moving forward.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

For when it’s time

If you haven’t seen the full Wrigley’s advert yet for Extra Gum, it’s well worth a watch. Perfectly paired with Celine Dion’s song, ‘It’s all coming back to me now’, the advert imagines people bursting into offices, squeezing into jeans again, and kissing & hugging in the streets.

We’re not quite there yet, but we are returning to a degree of normality. Our consultants have started delivering projects on-site, face-to-face again. It’s a great feeling to be able to come out and see our clients in person.

The obstacle is the way

We’re delivering workshops online and face-to-face, depending on your preference. Although social distancing and face coverings still apply, we took a leaf out of Ryan Holiday’s book, The Obstacle Is The Way, and turned this challenge into an opportunity. See some of our team wearing Ad Esse branded face masks. Hopefully you’ll see these friendly faces in real life soon.

Oyindamola Sosanya discusses The Obstacle Is The Way in episode one of our podcast, Not Another Book Review which is now on Spotify and Amazon Music (UK).

Day in the life of a Consultant

There’s never a dull moment for our consultants who like to be kept busy and make a difference for those who matter most. Watch the video below for a peek at a typical home working day for Becky Mitchard, Ad Esse Consultant.

Improvements during lockdown

Although we’re excited to rejoin the world of work and physical post-its, we haven’t been sitting still. We’ve had a busy lockdown and have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to provide a better service for current, new, and prospective clients. Here are just a few of the many improvements that we’ve developed since the first lockdown.

We launched our Implementation Manager offer
It’s hard to believe that we only hired our first Implementation Manager just over a year ago – what would we do without them! After speaking with our clients, we realised a gap for improvement during the implementation phase. Our Implementation Managers are Agile specialists who can hit the ground running to provide extra capacity for delivering your project actions.

New branding and website

After gathering feedback from clients, we refreshed our brand identity with a new logo, colour scheme and website. We also have lots of new illustrations created by our Design & Content Coordinator, Sam.

Establishing partnerships
To fully support our client’s needs with the best possible solution, myself and G recognised an opportunity to partner with experienced experts who also match our values. We’ve partnered with storytelling expert, 22 Stories (Hilary Salzman) and business psychologist, Hazel Anderson-Turner. Visit our website to see how they can help you:

Practitioners’ forum & coaching
We’ve ramped up our lifetime support for change practitioners by creating a dedicated forum on MS Teams. This provides an opportunity for networking, sharing best practice, developing knowledge and more. We have also developed our coaching & mentoring service to support practitioners and individuals on a one-to-one basis.

It doesn’t stop here!
We lead by example and are committed to continuous improvement. Led by Emma, our finance department continues to make improvements, such as simplifying our expenses process. We’re constantly refreshing our training materials to incorporate new ideas and make them more engaging for our clients. We also run internal learning and development days regularly throughout the year to develop & standardise our approach to deliver the best possible service for you.

And we’re not the only ones who have been making improvements during lockdown. Likeminded professionals in the sectors we serve have been celebrating successes, overcoming the challenges caused by Covid-19.
